Renalfa IPP exceeds the key milestone of 1+ GWh of energy storage in operation.

With the commissioning of a 65 MW / 260 MWh BESS in its hybrid renewable energy project in Tenevo, Bulgaria, Renalfa IPP exceeds the key milestone of over 1 GWh of energy storage in operation. This is one of the biggest co-located BESS projects in Europe to date.
The implemented energy storage system marks the first phase of a total planned 238 MWp solar and 315 MW / 760 MWh BESS that are expected to be fully operational in early 2026, thus forming Bulgaria’s largest hybrid energy project, integrating solar, wind and battery storage.
